In the age of high technology, when paper letters have long been replaced by electronic ones, it is easier to load a book on a tablet than to get it in a store, and all lectures are recorded on a dictaphone, a modern person rarely takes a pen in his hands. Undoubtedly, the degree of comfort is growing, but the skills of calligraphic writing fall, as a result of which the sudden need to write a few handwritten phrases becomes a painful action.
How to develop a beautiful handwriting?
Is there a chance to develop a penmanship? The general direction of handwriting in a person is laid genetically, however, like any other factor, it can be modified in accordance with the applied efforts. And round, large letters can be turned into narrow and angular, and so that they go out so already on a subconscious level. And to teach yourself to write clearly and evenly in a hurry, no doubt, possible. But all this requires training.
The most pressing issue is the formation of an attractive and clear handwriting for schoolchildren. Therefore, parents are trying to teach children as young as 6-7 years old to be engaged in writing. How similar is this move? Foreign pedagogy, in particular, German, offers a more pleasant way for both the child and his parents: the development of fine hand motor skills, for example, through drawing with wax crayons. Here, of course, we are not talking about houses and the sun: the Steiner method involves drawing large letters and numbers, but not faceless, but "living." Stems of roses, folding in the letter "A", swans, curving with the number "2". It would seem that the actions are very simple and do little to help in the development of handwriting, but the practice, which is already being conducted in Russian educational institutions, shows that such methods are effective. So that the child does not lose interest in the action, the caregivers accompany the lesson with tales associated with a specific letter. After such a workout, children bypass the stage of writing, moving directly to writing letters in a notebook with linear markings.
Thus, analyzing this system in Waldorf pedagogy, it can be concluded that the point is not to learn how to correctly draw curves and circles, but to improve the fine motor skills of the hands. Through what exactly this will be achieved is an individual question. In Soviet childhood, many had the practice of bruising grains or peas, followed by the separation of grains from each other. Today, this lesson has been replaced by drawing, beading, macrame, knitting, collecting puzzles, and more. other actions that can arouse the interest of the child and the adult. That is, in order to develop the makings of a beautiful handwriting, you must constantly give small work to your hands and fingers.
Many schoolchildren and students would agree that after a long break, the seemingly good handwriting became unsightly, and the writing elements themselves seemed foreign. The more a rest period is delayed, the more difficult it is to get used to the handwritten text again, the faster the tiredness comes, and, as a result, the handwriting deteriorates. So, to give at least a minimum load of fingers, in order not to lose control over the situation, it is necessary daily. But what if the native handwriting does not suit?
The deterioration of the writing style depends not only on the frequency of use of a pen or pencil: a hastily outlined material will look a priori less legible and more dirty than written carefully and thoughtfully. Of course, the teacher should not be forced to dictate more slowly, but in the end it is worth understanding that daily lectures are not a substitute for a full-fledged handwriting training, since its quality is not best affected. Therefore, it is important to work on it in a calm atmosphere, allocating for this at least 20-30 minutes. per day.
When trying to correct the style of writing, it is important to understand what affects its quality. Perhaps the hand is very quickly tired due to incorrect setting or pressure on the writing instrument? And that, and another moment can be eliminated. First, with long-term handwritten work, short gymnastics is a must. And this is not just shaking fingers: it is important to relax the shoulder joint. To this end, you can perform a simple exercise: raise your hand in front of your eyes, pull it forward and, leaving the wrist and palm static, begin to draw letters and words from your elbow. This is done with a sweeping and rounded, and therefore suitable only in the absence of crowds of people in the room.
If it’s all the fault of setting the arm, then it is recommended to get a handle with grooves for the fingers: usually its body has wide flat edges. Most often, parents of schoolchildren, who need to learn how to keep a written instrument correctly, resort to this method. In the older age, it is enough to remember that you should not press hard on the body of the handle, and also the rod - on the paper. Any of these actions contribute to rapid fatigue, which again negatively affects the quality of handwriting.
Endurance, however, with prolonged note-taking, rises, if one is engaged in handwriting of any complex texts. For this purpose, the poetry of the classics is good: the number of stanzas increases daily or weekly, and the level of the text can also increase. That is, it is desirable that in the rewritable work actively meet all the letters of the alphabet. In addition, it must be remembered that there is no point in the continuous writing of the word: if the level is met and there are no large spaces between the letters, do not try to derive everything from a single line. This, again, entails fatigue.
How to write letters beautifully?
Occasionally there are such situations when it is required not so much to correct the handwriting, how many just write a few nice letters or words beautifully. How to do it? The easiest way to practice is on the copybooks, but not school ones: download the font of interest to the computer, type the required letters in a text editor in the column, leave enough space to the right of them and print the sheet (s) with the received training nets. Then try to gently repeat the lines and curls: first on translucent contours, and then on free space, without auxiliary elements. The Primo font is close to the classic handwriting, but in addition to it there are quite a few fine capital fonts, which, being made by hand, will decorate any invitation, greeting card or simple letter.
If you want the beautiful letters to be obtained on the machine, it is important not only to train yourself in writing them, to drive a particular style into your hand, but also to feel this handwriting. Focusing on other people's shapes and sizes of letters is useful for the purpose of analysis: how exactly specific elements and their joints are performed, how easier it is to derive a particular sign. But blindly copy your favorite handwriting is not worth it, even if it is considered ideal.
For example, the standard is rounded, soft and with small letters, but by the nature you are an emotional, impulsive and creative person, you are accustomed to writing in sharp, narrow and tall letters, but with a flourish. In moments of mental instability, right up to haste, the hand will still break down into her usual style of writing. Why, then, overcome yourself, completely rebuilding the handwriting? Isn't it better to just make sure that he is picky and tidy?

Your handwriting is your personality, able to tell a lot about your owner. Even this flourish, which seems to be knocked out of the norms invented by unknown people, is also a reflection of your “I.” Therefore, do not strive to break the usual style: practice your writing and do not let your hands forget the contours of the pen. The rest is not so important.
