From the walk you can return not only with a pile of pleasant impressions and good mood, but also with a bouquet of flowers or leaves. Their term is short, and in a pure form it is difficult for them to find application. But the leaves can always be an excellent material for a variety of handicrafts of them, especially if the case to connect children.
Handicrafts from the leaves: photos and recommendations
The simplest and most interesting leaf crafts that even a child can embody are various combinations of leaves and drawings: appliqués. The most famous in the network are the drawings of a foreign stylist, in which paper women's silhouettes are "dressed" in dresses made from petals of various colors. With children, of course, it is worth doing a lighter version: for example, the maple leaf will become a dress with sleeves, which is glued onto a sheet of paper, and from under it looms legs, and at the very top - the head.
Older children can make a butterfly from the same leaflet: then the maple leaf will act as a large figured wing, the butterfly itself will “sit” in profile, you will need to draw only the body, head and antennae. And if you wish, you can paint a leaf with acrylic paints to add colors and patterns. According to a similar scheme, the body of a bug or even a tortoise shell will come out of an oak or birch leaf, and the nettle leaf can turn into a bird's wing. And after all, the associations with the leaves do not end there!
In applications, several types of leaves can be used at once, and at the same time there is still a need to paint the details. For example, a large, spiny hedgehog will consist of several leaves of alder, heaps of rowan leaves, as well as 1-2 maple leaves. For authenticity between them, you can place double berries on the stalk, taken in the autumn from a wild tree. The figures of "summer" or "autumn" fairies are also composed in the same way: large, pencil-drawn silhouettes, leaves of different sizes are glued as clothes and shoes - even a magnificent princess dress can be made of them. Long hair, wheatgrass leaves can act as hair, and translucent thin petals of any flower become wings.
In addition, dried flowers and leaves are ideal for creating small decorations, if they are poured with epoxy resin, placed in a mold, or stamped on a salt dough, or clay. Such a move looks especially attractive if one makes a plate, a tray or even a photo frame with it. Floating like in an aquarium, the leaves will become a worthy design for the thing that weary of its monotony.
Children's crafts from the leaves and flowers do it yourself
If the child wants to make a pleasant surprise for the mother with her own hands, the easiest way out for him is to create a postcard. Colored thick paper will make an ideal basis for this: it is enough just to bend it in half and cut to the required size. Then, on the front side, leaves and dried flowers are laid out in the desired order, which are fixed on a transparent (so that no whitish stains remain) glue. But you can spend a little more time and get a more complex card, and without using glue. In this case, the composition will be fixed with a transparent thin film that will best preserve the beauty of the collected flowers and leaves.
Before you start drawing a picture, the materials for it must be dried and otglazhivayutsya according to all the rules of planar floristics. The easiest way to do this is if you use a slightly warm iron: a hot instantly burns thin leaves and petals. If you have enough time left, the leaves and flowers can be laid between layers of thin paper and placed under the press in the form of several thick and heavy books. 2-3 days will be more than enough to prepare the material for further work with him.
To make a postcard with a laminated composition of leaves, it is made up of 2 identical sheets of cardboard. On the 1st of them, you need to make a kind of "window", choose a form arbitrarily: this sheet will be external, you work with it at the last stage. First, on the lower (inner) leaf in the zone where the outer “window” has a composition of previously collected leaves and dried flowers. It should be covered with a layer of ordinary food film, trying not to disturb the pattern. Then the outer part of the postcard is smeared with glue on the back side, special attention is paid to the perimeter of the “window”, and it is superimposed on the inner sheet. Postcards need 30-40 minutes under the press in the form of books.
In addition, children can be offered to “draw” what they see their autumn with the help of leaves. On thick cardboard or paper paper, the oval of the face is thrown by several lines, and the rest of the details are already laid out from the materials that were collected for a walk. Covered or open eyes, lips and nose can also be marked with a pencil, but it is better to try and build them from leaves, petals or even dried berries. And the natural blush of the girl-autumn is easy to do by rubbing the crushed berries in the right place on the cardboard. Thin long leaves will act as hair, and bunches of mountain ash and flowers will "weave" into a braid or hug the head like a wreath. If you wish, you can go further, laying out the autumn outfit with the same leaves and flowers. To preserve the resulting composition for a long time, all materials are pre-dried, and the picture itself is framed in a glass framed in the final.
Making bouquets of autumn leaves
From the autumn leaves are perfectly obtained whole bouquets, and floral. Such crafts have to be done with older children, since they require accuracy and concentration. In addition, the usual glue can not do - in the course is a heat gun, filled with adhesive substance. The most complex, but at the same time the most attractive are the real buds of roses that are folded from autumn leaves. It is recommended to collect only reddish ones, since golden ones do not look so impressive. In shape, aspen or birch leaves are preferred - they are large, not elongated, really very similar to rose petals.
On a large volumetric flowering of at least 45 leaves. Those that will be located in the center, twisted into a tube, overlapping each other and gluing over almost the entire area: for this purpose only 3-4 sheets are used. The following 6-7 pcs. they will not embrace this dense “tube” completely, only with the lower part up to the middle of its height, so that the bud begins to unfold a little. The more leaves are added, the weaker the curl is. At the moment of fixing the 23rd sheet, this is no longer necessary - the “petals” are glued in the straightened state in order to get a flat bottom from the reverse side by the end.
If you decide to put a bud on the surface, the legs are cut from the leaves. If you want to make a full-fledged rose with a stem, then you need to pull them together with a flexible wire, then twist it and randomly bend it, giving it the shape of a stem. At the end it is wrapped in velvet dark green paper, which is also fixed with glue.
If there is a desire, 2-3 drops of glue from a pistol are applied on the "petals" of the flower that has come out of the leaves: as soon as the substance hardens, it will look like artificial moisture, which is present in non-vibrant colors. And the most luxurious autumn bouquet will turn out if you collect 2-3 lush buds from the leaves, among which you will stick a bunch of mountain ash and several large leaves from other trees, and place the whole composition in a low-bellied vase. Such an element of decor can be both an unofficial gift and an original decoration of the interior of your apartment.
Also, autumn leaves can be an element of packaging design, framing a gift.
In particular, a variety of baskets with alcohol and sweets often need material to fill them. Why not use for this purpose collected leaves for a walk? Taking into account the time of the year, this is most relevant when composing a gift for teachers: in a usual wicker basket, the bottom and walls are pasted over with dried, but still soft-lined leaves, after which the gift itself is laid there, and the empty sections are overlapped with small flower buds twisted from wide leaves, as well as clusters of mountain ash. If desired, leaves can be pasted over the basket and outside, and the handle can be transferred with the stem of the convolvulus.
Crafts made from leaves can hardly be called something of practical value: there is only an aesthetic side of the issue. In addition, it is a good opportunity to spend time with children, to teach them simple, but pleasant things, created by himself. At least as a gift to a loved one, such crafts as bouquets or whole baskets are very good.
