Bishofit - what is it? This is the name of a natural mineral extracted in the depths by dissolving crystals in water. The flow is directed to the well, where water is saturated with useful substances. Next, this water is pumped out, and already in the production of bischofite solution is added to various preparations.
The substance is widely used in modern medicine. On the basis of the solution, medical compresses, applications, heating, wraps, baths are made. Basically all therapeutic methods for external use. However, there are techniques and drinking bischofite in various pathologies.
What is a bishofit solution specifically?
The substance, discovered by the German geologist Bischof at the end of the 19th century, was classified as crystallized evaporation of an ancient reservoir. In fact, this is a kind of fossil crystalline salt, which, because of its hygroscopicity, is very rare in nature has a solid structure.
Workers used the pumped out water for hygienic needs, completely unaware of the mineral composition and fluid properties. After some time, many have noted the absence of numbness and pain, which is unusual for hard physical labor.
After a rich mineral deposit was discovered in 1930, its study, as well as the possibilities of its application, became more substantive.
The composition of bischofite (bromine-chloride solution) contains:
- molybdenum, etc.
For what purposes is it used?
In the second half of the 90s of the twentieth century, a very rich bischofite deposit was discovered in Poltava region (Ukraine). Up to this point, domestic medicine has already introduced bischofitotherapy into practice. But research continued. The next eight years, scientists were looking for more convenient forms of using the solution in therapy, dentistry, and gynecology. So Poltava bischofite application found in the physiotherapy destination in the treatment of gynecological inflammation. In addition to the actual solution, pharmaceutical forms were proposed in the form of candles and ointments.
What else has the use of Poltava bischofite:
- diseases of the cardiovascular system;
- musculoskeletal dysfunction;
- mental disorders;
- general strengthening, general healing, generalizing rehabilitation;
- climate disorders of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system.
Note that bischofitotherapy has a number of contraindications. These include:
- acute stages;
- dermatological pathologies in the area of exposure;
- cardiovascular failure II-III degree;
- marked sclerosis of blood vessels of the brain, heart, kidneys.
You should not exclude the manifestation of side effects, for example, an allergic reaction to the components. However, this is extremely rare, mainly in case of individual intolerance to certain substances contained in the composition of a bischofite solution.
Due to frequent procedures, some patients show signs of chronic bromine poisoning, manifested by cough, runny nose, conjunctivitis, skin irritations, and general weakness. During the same sessions of therapy, such patients may experience headache, dizziness, rapid breathing and heartbeat.
How to apply without harm?
Bishofit is used in the form of baths, compresses, rubbing, electrophoresis, inhalations, rinses. Mainly used solution. Instructions for use of the bischofite gel indicates that it is necessary to apply the product locally, rubbing it with massage movements. Then a warm wrap for 1-2 hours. In order for the therapy to work, it is recommended to carry out the procedures 2-3 times a day for 1.5-2 weeks. In order to avoid undesirable manifestations, the repeated course can be carried out in a month.
Bishofit solution can be applied as follows:
- 20-30 ml of the solution is heated to a temperature of 40 degrees;
- the treatment zones should be preheated for 5 min with a blue lamp;
- neat movements of the solution is rubbed into the skin for 3 minutes;
- fabric for a compress is impregnated with the remnants of the solution and is applied to the affected area;
- fixed with polyethylene and wrapped with a towel;
- night is maintained;
- after removing the compress, the skin should be rinsed with warm clean water.
In this case, the course is designed for 10-12 procedures with the intensity of a day.
Baths with bischofite solution are taken for 10-20 minutes. For a standard bath, 1 liter of solution or 200 g of crystals is sufficient. It is also recommended to undergo a course of 10-12 procedures every other day. Similarly, common baths are held and local (duration - half an hour).
Bishofitotherapy, while following the rules and instructions, can be very effective. The best effect is achieved in the treatment of diseases not older than 7-10 years. This is one of the most valuable gifts of nature: improving the state and eliminating disorders, available natural "healer".
