A child may have one of the types of viral damage to the organs of vision:

  • isolated (caused by adenovirus, herpes simplex, enterovirus, shingles);
  • concomitant viral infections (influenza, rubella, measles, chicken pox).

Viral conjunctivitis in children occurs often - almost the same as ARVI. However, pediatricians urge parents to take seriously the treatment of this inflammation in order to rule out all possible complications. Here are some cases in which you need to consult a pediatrician:

  • inflamed eyes in the baby up to 1 year;
  • inflammatory process lasts more than 2 days;
  • the child is afraid to look at the light;
  • there are complaints of severe eye pain and blurred vision;
