Proper nutrition for a gout patient should become a way of life. After all, the use of products that are not included in the diet for patients provokes the aggravation of the disease.
Let's start with the general rules of the diet for gout on the legs:
- Diet should be distinguished during the period of paroxysm and without exacerbation. All permitted products are recorded in the table below and are divided by periods of illness.
- Fasting days are required, with a frequency of once every three days. These days should be only dairy or fruit and vegetable dishes.
- Drink should be plentiful: up to 3 liters of fluid per day.
- Nutrition - fractional, up to 5 times per day. Remember: do not overeat.

Diet for gout during exacerbation
During the period of exacerbation, all meat dishes are excluded from the diet. The first two days, preference is given to liquid porridge and vegetable puree. From the third day you can add low-fat cottage cheese, kefir and fruit dishes. Drink better mineral water
