The specialists of the Bormental center have developed a special table for caloric meals that helps anyone to lose weight. According to most nutritionists, the process of weight loss is to maintain a balance between calories consumed and energy burned. That is - eat less and move more.

In itself, the word "calorie" is translated from the ancient Greek language as "heat" and it means the energy content of food, or more precisely, the amount of energy that the body receives when it splits this product.

But in addition to calories, it is important to take into account the ratio of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. After all, they are completely differently split by the body, are applied and deposited. Proteins, for example, break down into amino acids used to build new proteins and cells. If proteins are present in the body in excess, then they begin to accumulate in the liver, it can cause poisoning.

Carbohydrates, with the exception of fiber, are processed into glucose, the excess of which accumulates in the liver and muscles. Fiber is not absorbed by the human body, because the gastric juice does not have the necessary components. By the way, it is not digested, it perfectly cleans the intestines from slags.

For normal life our body also needs fats, the consumption of which many try to reduce or even completely abandon them. The body really does not use all the fats, but only a small amount of them, the remains are deposited in the liver (cholesterol) and in the form of overweight. Most products are a combination of these elements, with the exception of sugar (pure carbohydrate) and vegetable oil (fat).

A person needs to get 2500-5000 calories per day. The exact amount is calculated based on the physique, physical exertion, mobility, climate and a number of other conditions. If a person wants to lose weight, then he needs to reduce the number of calories consumed. But to say exactly how much they need per day can only be a dietician, the main thing is not to reduce the amount below 1200 per day.

How to calculate the calorie content of the finished dish?

  • To account for the calories that were eaten per day, you should learn how to correctly calculate the calorie content of the finished dish. Each housewife has her own cooking recipes, according to which she regularly cooks food. You need to carefully calculate each of them 1 time, and then use the data obtained.
  • Even if you ate not at home, but in a cafe or a guest, you can safely take your calories. If you decided to try something that you hadn’t eaten before at a catering establishment, then pay attention to the menu - usually there is a “dish outlet” graph, where it is written what products it consists of and what its mass is.
  • It must be remembered that salt, water, spices, coffee and tea do not have calories.
