Our ancestors believed in the magical properties of a dyed egg: people thought that with the help of an egg you could settle heart matters, put out the fire and find the missing cow in the forest.
Easter is a favorite pastime for many nations. It begins on the first day of Easter, after lunch, and often lasts the entire Easter week. They rolled eggs just from some knoll or made special trays for this. When a rolling egg hits an egg laying on the ground, the player takes the egg to himself. These games sometimes turn into real competitions, which attract a lot of people.
Egg Painting Rules
Today, we know many techniques of painting Easter eggs, many homemade recipes. Egg painting is one of the most stable traditions, even in Soviet times, when religious holidays were banned, people continued to paint eggs.
All culinary preparations need to start on Ply Thursday, so pre-accumulate onion peel, buy 2-3 dozen eggs. The easiest, useful and very beautiful method of painting eggs.

We paint eggs in onion peel
Fill the pan with onion peel, cover with water and boil. Since the infusion should give a bright color, let it stand for a couple of hours, you can cook it overnight. In the finished infusion, place the eggs, washed in soapy water, boil them for 20-25 minutes. For good staining you need to take white eggs. Let them cool in onion peel, then the color will be richer. The hue depends on the concentration of onion peel: the larger it is, the brighter the color. And when the eggs have cooled, grease the napkin with vegetable oil and rub the eggs to a shine. Broth onion peel can be used several times, with each new painting eggs will be paler.
Marble eggs are also prepared in onion peel. Just before putting it in the infusion, tie parsley leaves, dill, onion peel to each egg with a cotton cloth, or you can fasten the leaves with scotch tape.
The speckles on eggs are made from rice or millet. Dip the eggs in water, then dip them in the grits. Carefully wrap the egg with the grains in gauze and tie it well. Boil eggs in onion peel for 15-25 minutes.
