And what aroma was in the house when mom or grandmother egozarili! Unfortunately, the brushwood has recently been undeservedly forgotten by housewives, although its recipes are surprisingly simple.

  1. Eggs (yolks) - 5 pcs.
  2. Vodka (brandy or rum) - 2 tbsp. l
  3. Milk - 5 tbsp. l
  4. Butter (or vegetable) - for frying

Cooking:

  • In a deep bowl, combine the egg yolks and 2 tbsp. l strong alcoholic drink. Stir, add milk and some salt.
  • Beat all until a homogeneous consistency and, continuing to stir, gently enter the sifted flour.
  • The amount of flour is determined by eye. The dough should be steep enough and not stick to your hands.
  • Spread the dough on the working surface, which has been sprinkled with flour, and roll it into a layer no more than 1 cm thick
  • Cut the cake into thin strips about 3 cm wide and 8 cm long. Roll them up in bows or knots.
  • To make a knot, make an incision in the center of the strip and pass through it 1 of the edges of the strip.
  • In a heated pan, pour in vegetable or melted butter. It should be enough to cover the dough at least half.
  • In the boiling oil, put the brushwood and fry until ruddy color. Put ready-made cookies on a paper napkin to get rid of excess oil, then thickly sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • There is no sugar in the classic brushwood recipe. The dough must be neutral - not salty, not sweet. If you put the sugar, the cookie will lose its splendor. Sweetness is given to the dish at the end by adding honey or powdered sugar.

Composition:

  1. Wheat flour - 1 tbsp.
  2. Dry yeast - 11 g
  3. Caster sugar - 1 tbsp. l
  4. Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
  5. Water - 100 ml
  6. Sugar - 2 tsp.
  7. Salt
  8. Vegetable oil (creamy) - for frying

Cooking:

  • In warm water (30-35 degrees), dilute the dry yeast. When they are completely dissolved, add a little flour, mix and put the mixture in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • In a separate container, break the eggs, rub them with sugar and salt. Combine the egg mixture with brew, mix.
  • Continuing to stir, enter the flour. The dough should be thick enough and not stick to your hands.
  • Divide the dough into separate pieces. Roll each piece into the cake and cut into 3x8 cm strips.
  • Form strips of stripes. Fry in deep fat to a beautiful golden hue.
  • Cover the finished cookies with a paper napkin so that it absorbs the excess oil. Sprinkle with sugar or powdered sugar.

  1. Kefir (non-fat) - 1 tbsp.
  2. Sugar - 3 tbsp. l
  3. Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
  4. Butter (or vegetable) - for frying
  5. Flour - 3 tbsp.
  6. Salt - ½ tsp.
  7. Soda - ½ tsp.
  8. Powdered sugar

Cooking:

  • Break the egg into a deep bowl, add sugar and carefully melt the ingredients. Add soda and salt, mix until smooth. Pour in 2 tbsp. l melted butter or vegetable oil and kefir. Stir.
  • Continuing to mix, add sifted flour in small portions. Knead a soft elastic dough, cover it with a towel and let stand 25-30 minutes.
  • Then divide the dough into several parts, each of which roll into a cake. Cut strips of 3 to 8 cm and give them a beautiful shape.
  • Fry brushwood in a large amount of butter or vegetable oil, put it on a dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar. If necessary, blotting oil with paper towels.

  • Add 1 tsp. sugar, pinch of salt and sour cream. Mix to a uniform consistency, put vanilla and baking powder for the dough.
  • Constantly stirring, enter the sifted flour. Knead the dough, wrap it in cling film or cover with a towel for 30 minutes.
  • After half an hour, divide the dough into several parts, each roll into a 3-4 mm thick layer. Cut the dough into strips, form bows, knots or pigtails.
  • Fry the brushwood in a large amount of vegetable oil to a beautiful golden color.
  • Prepare the syrup. In a small saucepan, pour 1 tbsp. water, add sugar and put on a small fire.
  • Boil until small bubbles appear on the surface. At the end of cooking, add a little vanilla.
  • Put the brushwood on a dish, pour it with cooled syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar, sesame or poppy seeds.
