Capelin

Capelin is not a delicious variety of fish, but despite this, it is popular among Russian hostesses. Why? This fish is useful and easy to prepare.

Capelin belongs to the smelt family. It is rich in vitamins of group B, PP and A, as well as useful substances such as iodine, selenium, phosphorus and polyunsaturated acids. Fish is recommended to be used for diseases of the cardiovascular system, with high cholesterol, diseases of the thyroid gland, high blood pressure, etc.

From capelin you can cook a lot of healthy and tasty dishes. The quickest and easiest way to cook is roasting in the oven. The ingredients that you may need, will be in the kitchen of any hostess.

Composition:

  1. Capelin - 1 kg.
  2. Onions - 2 pcs.
  3. Green onions
  4. Dill
  5. Vegetable oil
  6. Salt, pepper - to taste
  7. Spices for fish - to taste
  8. Lemon - ½ pcs.
  9. Bay leaf

Cooking:

  • Rinse the fish under running water. To water faster glass, flip it in a colander. Transfer the capelin to a convenient container, salt, pepper and add spices to the fish. Mix everything. It should be well saturated with spices.
  • Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Lay a bay leaf on the bottom. Rows lay capelin. Sprinkle the fish with lemon juice to remove the pronounced smell.
  • Peel the onion and cut it into thin rings. Put the onion on top of the capelin and sprinkle with chopped greens.
  • To make the fish juicy and soft, pour ½ tbsp into the pan. water. Cover the baking sheet with foil for. Put in preheated to 200 degrees oven. Bake for 1 hour. Last 15 minutes is recommended to bake without foil.

Composition:

  1. Capelin - 1 kg
  2. Vegetable oil
  3. Salt and pepper to taste
  4. Fragrant herbs - to taste
  5. Sour cream - 1 tbsp.
  6. Dill - 1 bunch
  7. Green onions - 1 bunch
  8. Lemon juice - to taste

Cooking:

  • Rinse the fish under running water and let it dry. In a separate bowl, mix the vegetable oil, salt, pepper and herbs. Put capelin in a bowl with butter and leave for 5 - 10 minutes to pickle.
  • Lay the foil on the bottom of the pan and spread out the fish. Place in preheated oven to 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • While the fish is baking, prepare sour cream sauce. In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, salt, lemon juice, finely chopped greens and onions.
  • Put the prepared capelin on a dish, pour it with sour cream sauce and serve.

  3. Flour - 3 tbsp. l
  4. Salt and spices - to taste

Cooking:

  1. Capelin - 1 kg
  2. Potatoes - 7 pcs.
  3. Sour cream - 4 tbsp. l
  4. Cheese - 200 g
  5. Butter - 70 g
  6. Flour - 1 tbsp. l
  7. Salt and spices - to taste

Cooking:

  • Divide the fish, remove the head and entrails. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and pepper. Prepared carcass roll in the prepared mixture. Fry capelin in a frying pan until golden brown.

  7. Eggs - 3 pcs.
  8. Cheese - 200 g
  9. Salt and spices - to taste
  10. Greens to taste

Cooking:

  • Divide the fish, remove the head and entrails. Rinse the finished carcass under running water and dry. Roll the prepared carcasses in flour and fry in a pan until golden brown.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the milk, spices and eggs. Beat the mass with a blender.
  • Peel the onions and cut them into rings. Tomatoes, too, cut into rings. Grease the baking dish with butter, lay the capelin. Place onions and tomatoes on top of the fish. Pour everything with a mixture of milk and eggs, sprinkle with grated cheese. Put in the oven for 15 min.
  • The finished dish is sprinkled with chopped greens and served hot.
