To desire change is natural for every person, especially for a woman. And most often, these changes — external — begin with a hairstyle, as with the simplest way of introducing novelty into one’s appearance and life. In most cases, girls radically change the shade of their hair, but after a while there are regrets about their deeds, I want to return everything back. When such desires are spontaneous, temporary dyes can become an exit: for example, the tonic balsam Tonika, whose palette is very extensive.
Tonica balm: palette and key features
Semi-permanent dyes, i.e. those that do not penetrate deep into the hair, and affect only its shell, as a result of which the result is short-lived, are divided into 2 categories: these are various colors without ammonia and tinted mousses and balms. The latter are considered the most benign, since the effect of them is only 3-4 baths, and moreover, every time the hair loses pigment. They do not clog the cuticle, do not accumulate, and more often than not they do not harm the hair at all, as a result of which you can change their shade at least every day.
The key disadvantage of this product is the ability to change color only within the initial level or dim it. Lighten the hair they will not work. At the tonic hair balm "Tonica" the palette starts from the 9th row and ends with the 1st one. In width, it is comparable to the palette of the average mass-market hair dye: about 3-4 variations of each level, except for the lowest - the 9th level has 6 shade options. Thus, the entire palette in the classic layout looks and reads like this:
- Level 9 (blond) can be platinum or pure ash (.1), smoky or with a slight neutral nuance (.10), amethyst (.01), mother-of-pearl (.02), fawn or light gold (.03) or pearl pink (.05).
- Level 8 (light blond) offers only pearl-ash (.10) and pearl-pink (.53) nuances.
- Level 7 (light brown) is presented in shades of graphite or pure ash (.1), milk chocolate or with care in gold (.3), gold nut or with the addition of a red-gold note (.35).
- Level 6 (dark blonde) can be neutral (.0), shade of cinnamon (.5), mahogany (.54), red-violet (.65).
- Level 5 (light chestnut) stretches from neutral (.0) and mocha (.43) to red amber (.35), brown-red (.4) and mahogany (.54).
- Level 4 (chestnut) and above mainly have bright shades: iris (4.25), burgundy (4.6), eggplant (3.2), cherry (3.56), blue plum (3.1). Neutrals (.0) are marked only at levels 4, 3, and 1.
If you examine in detail the options presented, you can see that natural tones - classic ash, light gold or cocoa - in the palette of the tint hair balm "Tonica" almost does not exist. This is mainly due to the fact that temporary changes are often the result of drastic changes, and not a simple transition between micones, which can be easily eliminated even after a permanent dye. Thus, "Tonica" is resorted to in the case of non-standard desires: for example, blue tips with light mass of hair, or red highlights on a black canvas.
In addition, there is a fairly common way to apply the same non-standard shades of "Tonics", but in the case of quite traditional colors: correction of nuances. According to the classic rules of color painting, shades are chosen that are directly opposed to what needs to be eliminated. This is especially true with the appearance of undesirable yellowness in bleached hair - purple "Tonic" copes with the task perfectly. True, there are many nuances regarding the use of the product.
How to use Tonic balm at home?
Working independently with this tool is both more difficult and easier than with a conventional dye. The simplicity lies in the fact that it is applied as an ordinary shampoo or balm - no outside help is needed, the mass is evenly distributed to the hair almost instantly, you can not be afraid of the fact that there will be unpainted areas. This is due to the liquid consistency of the product, which, however, has a negative side - the tool flows actively, as a result of which it is necessary to apply it carefully, without overdoing it with the quantity. In addition, it is recommended to place an old towel or other fabric under the hairline on the back of the head, which, if necessary, will hold back the excess balm on the way to the neck.
Like other dyes, Tonika is very corrosive, so it is best to treat the face, the area behind the ears and the neck with a fat cream: if the product gets into these areas, it will be easy to remove the traces from the skin. But if you accidentally stain the bath, it will have to be cleaned with bleach.
In contrast to the classic permanent dyes, "Tonica" is applied on slightly damp hair, and, well washed. Usually they are dried with a towel and a hairdryer, and after that they start working with a tint balsam. The product is traditionally applied from the roots to the ends, especially if you want to hide the transition from the native color to the one already painted. Exposure time "Tonics" on the hair ranges from 10 to 30 minutes. and depends on whether you want to get a color nuance or a rich result. Wash off the tint balm without using shampoo, and the water flowing from the hair should be clear.
There is an important point concerning the elimination of unwanted pigment in the existing staining through the use of tinted balm at levels 7-9 - most importantly it is when removing yellowness or excess red nuance. In such a situation, "Tonics" is not distributed in the hair, but rinsed to her head! In the pelvis (5-7 l of water) dilute the cap of the tint balm, put the hair in there and hold it for several seconds (depending on the strength of the unwanted pigment), after which they wash their hair without using shampoo, but with a mask or conditioner. It is better to start from a short time, because, after overreacting the product, you can get a clear blue or purple note on the light curls.-
How to wash tint balm?
Despite the fact that "Tonic" is a tool with a short period of preservation of the result, it sometimes happens that the result after toning differs from the expected one, or after some time the color began to change not for the better (this is typical of dark tones). In such a situation, it is necessary to wash away the tint tint balm. How to do it?
If for traditional permanent dyes there are a variety of washes, fairly spoiling the hair, then you can remove the tint balm with ordinary masks from natural ingredients. Most often, kefir and / or lemon are present in their recipe for this purpose.
The simplest is as follows: kefir is mixed with lemon juice in a ratio of 3: 1, after which the resulting mass is distributed through the hair and held on them for at least 60 minutes. The time may increase to 3-4 hours, depending on how strongly the dye has eaten. It is especially difficult to remove the tint balm from bleached porous hair: it is often necessary to apply a mask several times. In addition, after it, be sure to moisturize and nourish the hair with oils, since both kefir and lemon tend to dry the hair.
In the case when it was decided to cancel just the result of toning, you can resort to a simple base oil - from olive to almond or wheat. It is applied to the hair in the same way as a mask, it is wrapped in a head with a towel, kept warm for 1-2 hours, washed off with shampoo. But this advice is valid only for a few hours after toning.
Judging by the numerous comments on the network, "Tonica" is loved for a small amount, long shelf life, as well as low cost and the ability of the product to paint over gray hair on a large scale. In addition, it is good for thin, not thick hair, which I would not want to poison with serious hard dyes: the product’s attitude to the hair is quite gentle, although, as can be seen from reviews, exceptions happen. And yet the bulk of the votes "for" "Tonik".
Irina: When the fashion for color staining went, I, too, pereklinilo - I want pink strands, and that's it. Mom barely gave a go-ahead to a temporary change in color (I am a natural blonde). Bought "Tonika", made a smooth transition, stretching the balm from the ends up comb. It turned out very cool! Washed out after 1.5 months completely, for sure I will try again, but with a blue tint.
Of course, not only positive feedback about the tonic balm "Tonica" can be observed on the net: the tool also has negative features that consumers do not forget to mention.
- Elena: I've been using tonics for a long time, but I can't understand everything, why won't they change the formula? So many years the same flaw: no matter how flush the balm after the procedure, it still manages to "trace" on the pillow, blanket and other fabrics with which I touch my head at night. This, of course, is a question of 1-2 headwashings, but at the same time a part of the color also leaves. Therefore, we have to consistently put a towel on the pillow, which is not a pity.
- Karina: I have been blonde for 4 years now, and all this time I have been struggling with yellow pigment, getting out 1-1.5 weeks after dyeing. We have to resort to the help of "Tonics" and rinse the hair with a shade of 3.2, but every time after that a whole horde of restoration masks is used - even with such a short contact the balm dries the hair very much.
Summarizing the above, it can be argued that the product is not in vain for so many years is popular - and ease of use, and low price, and a palette of tint balm "Tonic" play in his favor. However, professionals advise even with a temporary dye to be careful and do not forget to care for your hair so that they do not suffer from exposure to chemicals.
